Vegetarian rice pilau

IMG_2236.JPG

We are continuing the rice theme into our vegetarian class this June, with one of the most delicious, comforting, rice pilaus around: dal chawal palidu.  This is a traditional regional Bohra dish, made from toor dal and rice (lentil pilau) and served with a tangy tomato and vegetable broth made from the dal water.  It's a meal you will want to eat all winter long.

We will also be teaching you a very traditional regional coal smoking technique, that you can use to give a real tandoori flavour to all your vegetarian dishes.

On the menu:

Chickpea samosas

Coal smoked paneer skewers

Dal chawal palidu

Palak paneer

Tomato kachumber

Kulfi
